The success of the first Red Faction game has spawned a sequel in the form of Red Faction 2. This time, the target of the rebellion is Sopot, a vicious tyrant who has oppressed the Commonwealth for 15 years. Throughout his ironfisted rule, Sopot has waged a fruitless war on the United Republic, leaving the Commonwealths citizens destitute and angry.
Enter Alias, the William Wallace of the Commonwealth, with a squad of five elite demolitions experts, to strike fear into the hearts of the running-dog imperialists and their lackeys. Alias and friends are nanotech-enhanced super freaks who can strategically alter the game environment in real time (thanks to Volitions unique Geo-Mod engine, which has been enhanced from the original RF). If moving mountains isnt enough, youll also have access to an ample arsenal.
Furthermore, players will have the opportunity to get behind the controls of several vehicles throughout the course of the game. Tanks, hover fliers, and submarines will transport you across land, air, and sea as you fight for freedom and justice. If youre one of those people who need a keyboard and mouse to feel at home in a first-person shooter, RF2 has you covered with full USB keyboard and mouse support.
With a huge, malleable game world, multiple endings, and Red Factions stellar track record, youll want to keep an eye out for RF2 this winter.
