During the unveiling of Nvidia's next generation 3D graphics card, the GeForce 3 (formerly known as the NV20) for the Power Mac G4, John Carmack of Id Software showed off the graphics processing power of the new video card by giving a demo of the still-to-be-named Doom sequel. Dark, haunting, and gory are the first adjectives that come to mind. While Carmack did not provide any details about the forthcoming game, the screenshots give a tantalizing look at what's in store for gamers when this highly anticipated sequel hits store shelves.
