SIn(fin) (S.S. Liki) HP= Sin=2000 Sinscales= 200 AP= Sin=10 Sinscales=2 WEAK=none : You should have a team of Lulu, Tidus and Wakka. Use Tidus to kill two of the smaller enemies, but leave one because if you kill all of them, 3 more will appear. Now use Wakka's regular attack to hit Sin's fin. Use Lulu to cast magic on the fin. When you fall in the ocean, simply ignore the minor enemies again, and keep fighting Sin.
Lord Ochu (optional in Kilika forest) HP=4649 AP=40 WEAK=fire : At the start use Lulu , Yuna, and Tidus. Call in Yuna's Aeon, and attack with fire until the Aeon is nearly dead. Now substitute Yuna for Wakka. Keep attacking with Lulu's fire, and us regular attacks with Tidus and Wakka. When anyone needs health or an antidote use Wakka to do that.
Sinspawn Geneaux (Kilika temple steps) HP=body=3000 tentacles= 450 AP=53 WEAK=body= fire (absorbs water) tentacles=none : Attack the tentacles behind you with Wakka, Tidus and Yuna. Use only normal attacks on these creatures as they will absorb your magical attacks. Once defeated, call in Yuna's Aeon and attack the main part with fire. When your Aeon is dead, take out Wakka and bring in Lulu and use fire with her and normal attacks with Tidus and use Yuna to heal.
Chocobo Eater (Mi'hen Highroad-oldroad) HP=10,000 AP=135 WEAK=fire : This boss is tough. It will occasionally push you towards the cliff. If you get knocked over the cliff the battle ends and you get no AP or prizes from Rin. Use Lulu, Tidus and Wakka. Caste haste on Lulu so she can cast spells faster. use Wakka's dark attack to blind it and then switch Wakka and Tidus with Kimahri and Auron. Use Auron's Power Break to reduce physical damage. If you can knock him on his back, you can push him back by dealing about 500 damage to him. If you can push the Chocobo Eater of the cliff, you will receive 2 lv. 1 key spheres.
Sinspawn Gui (Mi'hen Highroad) HP= Head=4000 Body= 12,000 arms=800 AP=(carried over) WEAK=none : This is the toughest battle you've fought so far. Start of with Lulu, Wakka and Yuna. Kill it's head first because it's poison is very deadly. Now bring in Auron and Tidus but keep Lulu and kill the arms. If Lulu has any second level spells, she can kill and arm in one shot. make sure you use all your characters to get the massive AP reward at the end. Once the body dies it's over.
Sinspawn Gui (second encounter same area) HP= Head=1000 Body=6000 arms=800 AP=1514 WEAK=none : This time around the fight is a little easier since Seymour helps you. Tell Seymour to use his powerful black magic spells against the head, arms and then the body (one shot should kill the head and arms) Use Yuna to heal and Auron to attack the body. You may want to wait until Seymour's overdrive is up, this is the only chance to see it. After the battle you get a whole lot of AP and 6 lv. 1 key spheres.
Spherimorph (Macalania forest) HP=12,000 AP=3240 WEAK=varies STEAL=Ether : I'm going to start by saying keep Lulu in your party at all times because physical attacks are useless. The spell that he uses will indicate his current elemental property and since it changes all the time, keep in mind what he uses. Once he casts a spell attack with a spell opposite of it's type. For example, if Spherimorph casts Fire, then you cast Blizzard or Blizzara. Every time you attack him that way, he will change his element, so just heal or defend until he reveals his elemental type. If Yuna reaches overdrive wait until Spherimorph casts Water or Blizzard, than summon Ixion or Ifrit.
Crawler, Negator (Macalania [outside forest on ice path]) HP=Crawler= 16,000 Negator=1,000 AP=4950 WEAK=Crawler=Lightning Negator=none STEAL= Crawler=Lunar Curtain Negator=Hi-Potion : You could take out the flying Negator in the air which will allow you to use spells and summon, but it will enable the crawler to countdown to it's Mana Beam attack which causes extreme damage which happens every 5 turns or so. Destroy the Negator and bring in Lulu, Yuna and Auron. Tell Auron to keep attacking the crawler, Lulu should cast Thunder or hopefully you have it, Thundara. Yuna should heal but summon Ixion or Ifrit when the countdown to Mana Beam nears the end as they can heal themselves by casting their own magic on themselves.
Seymour, Guado Guardian (2), ANIMA (Macalania [temple]) HP=Seymour=6000 Guardian=2000 Anima=18,000 AP=6220 WEAK=none STEAL=Seymour=Turbo Ether Guardian=Hi-Potion Anima=Silence Grenade : Start the fight with Tidus, Yuna and Wakka. They can all use the trigger command to raise their Strength and magic defense. The guardians each have the auto-potion, so the easiest way to get rid of them is to make sure to have Ixion or Ifrit's overdrive and use it, it should kill them both which will make Seymour summon Anima. He is very powerful, so whatever you do, whenever Anima's overdrive is up, make sure you have the character with the highest HP because Oblivion is extremely powerful. After a few turns, look in Yuna's summon menu. You will see a new, unnamed Aeon. Summon it. The ice goddess, Shiva will arrive. Let Anima attack, Shiva can use her Blizzara spell on herself to heal. When Shiva's overdrive is up, use it to deal 9,999 points of damage to Anima. Keep doing this until Anima is dead. Once Anima is out of the way, immediately withdraw Shiva and avoid summoning any other Aeons because Seymour will just destroy them. Seymour begins casting multi spells so keep Yuna in and ready to use life and cura. Cast haste on Yuna and then cast Lulu's bio on Seymour and use Auron's magic break. Keep this up and you should win.
Wendigo, Guado Guardian (2) (Macalania) HP= Wendigo=18,000 guardian=1,200 AP=3160 WEAK=Wendigo= fire Guardians= none STEAL= Wendigo= Hi-potion Guardians= Hi-potion: Get rid of the guardians pronto. Do the same thing that you did to them in the fight against Seymour. As a final move, they will cast protective spells and berserk on Wendigo, which you can remove by using Threaten. Cast hast on Lulu and continue to use fire or, better, fira. Use Wakka's sleep attack and keep using it when it wears off.
Evrae (airship) HP=32,000 AP= 5400 Weak=none Steal=water gem: Before you start this tough fight, make sure you equip as many characters as possible with an ability that protects against petrification. Start the fight by casting slow on Evrae with Tidus, then cast haste on himself and any long range attackers in your party. After you do this, use Tidus or Rikku to tell Cid to pull away from Evrae and he will eventually shoot out a volley of missiles. You can do this 3 or four times, after that bring in the short range attackers like Auron and Kimahri and start doing normal attacks. Whenever Evrae hits you with status aliments, have Rikku use an Al Bhed potion. Also avoid using magic unless you know Firaga, Thundaga, Waterga or Blizzaga as Evrae halves all magic damage. You will need a healthy supply of Al Bhed potions and Mega Phoenixes to stay alive and to get as much of the 5400 AP as possible. This is the toughest battle you've fought so far, this was actually the first boss battle that I died on at least once.
Evrae Altana (Bevelle after the maze of the Cloister of Trials) HP=16,384 AP=5800 WEAK=Cure magic STEAL=Water Gem: This fight is extremely easier then when you fought him in the air. All you have to do is heal your characters when needed and use phoenix downs on Evrae because he is zombied. Two or three will kill the boss. Easy AP.
Seymour Natus, Mortibody (Bevelle after beating Evrae Altana) Hp= Seymour= 36,000 Mortibody= 4000 AP=6300 WEAK= none STEAL= Seymour= Tetra Elemental Mortibody= None: He's a lot easier this time around. First of all do not attack Seymour directly otherwise he will counter with one of his multi-spells or Flare dealing big damage. Do not summon Aeons unless they have their overdrives ready because they will only get in one shot. Focus all your attacks on Mortibody because when you deplete his HP, he will take 4000 Hp from Seymour. Mortibody also casts cure spells on Seymour every now and then so keep reflect on him. If you keep this up, Seymour should fall quickly unless something goes horribly wrong.
Defender X (Calm Lands) HP= 64,000 AP= 6660 WEAK= none STEAL= Lunar Curtain: Start with a party of Yuna, Tidus, and Auron, and cast haste on everybody with Tidus. Then have Auron pummel Defender X with armor break and mental break. Keep Tidus in the party to cast haste and use physical attacks. When Auron's work is done you should bring in Lulu and cast Waterga or one of the other elemental spells on the Defender X. Yuna should cast Protect and Cura as needed but avoid summoning your Aeons unless you can use their Overdrives, Bahamut especially. Sometime during the fight, it might be a good idea to have Wakka use his Dark Attack because this guy has A LOT of strength and armor so keep Armour Break up.
Biran, Yenke (Mt. Gagazet) HP= random (both) AP= 4500 (both) WEAK=none STEAL= Lv. 3 key sphere: The Ronso challenge Kimahri's skills in an intense, two-on-one battle. Try to get Kimahri to learn as many abilities as possible from these guys. When you see Biran or Yenke perform a technique, use Lancet to learn it from them. From Biran, you can learn Thrust Kick, Self-Destruct, Doom, and Might Guard. From Yenke, you can learn Fire Breath, Stone Breath, Aqua Breath and White Wind. Since Yenke is the one you heals the two, kill him first. When one of them falls, the other will go berserk and inflict twice as much damage as before. If Kimahri hits overdrive, use Mighty Guard when this happens. This fight isn't too tough so do whatever you want.
Seymour Flux, Mortiorchis (Mt. Gagazet) HP= Seymour= 70,000 Mortiorchis= 4000 AP= 10,000 WEAK= none STEAL= Elixir: Seymour provides a mush harder challenge this time around. Tidus, Yuna, and Kimahri all have the Trigger Command option of talking to Seymour and raising their Strength or Magic Defense. Use Tidus to cast Hastega, and have Yuna use Protect on everyone. Seymour will occasionally cast Dispel on your party thus, nullifying all your hard work! Seymour's Cross Cleave attack can deplete over 2500 HP from each party member! But those who are covered with the protect spell will only take half the damage. Seymour concentrates on a pattern of eliminating characters individually. He will use Lance of Atrophy to put Zombie on a character and on his next turn he will cast Full-Life on that character to kill him/her. You only have one turn between both of Seymours attacks so use a Holy Water on that character. Also, it's a good idea to silence Seymour so he wont be able to cast spells. When the Mortiorchis begins to charge up the Total Annihilation attack, he will use it in two or three turns so, one of your characters need to do an attack that will deplete all of Mortiorchis' HP. This cause it to siphon HP from Seymour delaying the attack somewhat. It's best to bring in Lulu and Auron at this point in the fight, also Seymour begins casting Flare, so cast Shell and Protect on your characters. After surviving the Total Annihilation attack, hurry up and use a Mega-Potion to heal. This is when you can stat summoning your Aeons. They will only get in one shot so make sure it's in overdrive mode!!!!! Even with all this help, use still need a little bit of luck to surviving this battle.
Sanctuary Keeper (Mt.Gagazet before entering Zanarkand) HP= 40,000 AP= 11,000 WEAK= none STEAL=Turbo Ether : Start this fight with Tidus, Yuna, and Auron. Cast Hastega and Protect on the whole party, and use Auron's Armor Break and Mental Break against the Keeper. After breaking it's defense, switch other charaters into Auron's spot, and cast Haste and Protect on each of the new fighters you bring in. Cast reflect on the Keeper and bring in Overdrive Aeons. Actually from this boss fight and on, you should build up all your Aeons so they reach Overdrive to help the fights a lot. Make sure you use Overdrive though when you summon because they will only get one shot, because on the Keeper's turn, he will use Mana Breath. After the Keeper loses about half it's HP, it will try to cast Curaga on himself. This is where reflect comes into play. This boss is not extremly tough. he actually has an attack pattern. It starts with Photon Wings, than two normal attacks, then Mana Breath, and then two Curagas. The Keeper will sometimes counterattack with Tail Sweep too.
ENTER ZANARKAND
Spectral Keeper (After cloister of trails) HP=52,000 AP= 12,000 WEAK=none STEAL=Ether, Turbo Ether (rare) : OK, before you begin this fight, you mast be sure to get your Aeons on Overdrive. This guy is very hard, but you might be able to beat him on your first try (unless you're a horrible player...well, if you were you probably would not of been able to get past Seymour Flux). The challenge in this fight is avoiding the Spectral's initial and counter attacks. It's very important to position your guys out of harm's way before attacking. Start with Tidus, Yuna and Auron. Equip the party's armor with Berserk Proof or Berserk Ward. Cast Hastega immediately so the party can move out of the way. Move too characters to circles behind the Keeper and leave the Character with the highest HP out in front to keep the Keeper distracted. Have Yuna cast Protect on the frontline character, then have that person attack. Keep in mind that Glyph mines will form on the surface of circles and when they explode they cause instant death. If you summon, it will help, but make sure their Overdrives are up! They can't avoid glyph mines!
Yunalesca (Dome after Spectral Keeper ) HP= 1st form: 24,000 Evo. 1: 48,000 Evo. 2: 60,000 AP=14,000 WEAK= none STEAL= Stamina Tablet, Farplane Wind : Before you start this fight, I highly recommend that you equip your party members' armor with abilities that protect against status effects like Death, Zombie, Darkness, Silence and Sleep. Yunalesca's first form is easy to beat, so DO NOT use overdrives yet. She responds to each physical attack by casting Darkness, and each spell on her is met with silence. She also responds to special techniques, like Steal, with Sleep, so KEEP YOUR CHARACTERS PROTECTED PEOPLE!! When she transforms, she uses a new attack called Hellbiter. This move put the dreaded Zombie status on your characters, so hurry and use a Holy Water or Remedy. Yunalesca will then cast healing magic on characters to damage them, so if you remove the Zombie effect fast enough that this will actually help you. And of course, make sure Haste is on your entire party. When the true form of Yunalesca is revealed, cast Haste and Protect on your whole party. Also, do not remove the Zombie status this time, because if you do, any character who is not affected with the Zombie status will be killed instantly when Yunalesca uses Mega-Death. If a character is hit with Regen, use Yuna's Dispel to remove Regen without taking off the Zombie effect. Also, now is THE time to use your overdrives, especially Bahamut's.
ARE YOU READY FOR SIN?
Left Fin, Right Fin (on Airship) HP= both: 65,000 Total AP= 33,000 WEAK= None STEAL= Left Fin= Mega-Potion, Supreme Gem Right Fin= X-Potion, Shining Gem: Starting the first three boss fights is as easy as pointing Cid toward Sin, and then stepping outside the ship. The first 2 battles are fought exactly the same way. Start the battle with Tidus, Lulu, and Yuna in your party. Cast Hastega on your party. Then have Yuna cast Shell on everyone and have Lulu Doublecast Flare or Ultima. If you don't have these abilities then summon Aeons and use their special attacks like Ifrit's Meteor Strike or Bahamut's Impulse. DO NOT USE AEON OVERDRIVES! You need to save these for the battles to come. Use the trigger command to pull the ship closer to Sin and bring in Auron and use Armor Break, while Tidus and Kimahri strike the Fin at close range. Move the ship back after everyone gets in one hit because Sin causes much more damage at close range. You fight the Right Fin using the same tactics and make sure to SAVE YOUR OVERDRIVES FOR AN UPCOMING BATTLE!
Sin, Sinspawn Genais (on Sin) HP= Sin= 36,000 Genais= 20,000 Total AP= 19,800 WEAK= Genais= Fire STEAL= Genais= Star Curtain, Shining Gem, Sin=Stamina Spring: The Sinspawn absorbs any magic cast on Sin, so take it out first. Cast Slow and Silence on Genais to stop it from casting Cura. Just hit Genais with physical attacks and constant Firaga spells and you'll be fine. When the final Sinspawn dies, the group advances on Sin's weak point. Use Armor Break so you can do a good amount of damage with physical attacks. If Rikku or Kimahri have the Copycat ability, you can switch them into the fight. Have Lulu Doublecast Flare or Ultima. Then have Yuna cast Holy, and have the third person in your party Copycat Holy if possible. Bring in Rikku to Heal and Cure the Venom status with Al Bhed potions, and focus Yuna on casting Holy and summoning. LIKE THE PREVIOUS BATTLE DO NOT USE OVERDRIVES!
Overdrive Sin (airship) HP=140,000 AP=20,000 WEAK=none STEAL= Ether, Supreme Gem: Before you begin, make sure you protect your party against petrification, confusion, and zombie. This fight requires A LOT more speed and power. If Sin manages to cast his overdrive, Giga-Graviton, your dead. Start with Tidus, Yuna and Lulu. Doublecast, Hastega, Quick Attack, Armor Break and Mental Break are all extremely useful in this fight. When the fighting starts, cast Hastega and Doublecast Flare or Ultima. Have Yuna cast Holy, and use Tidus to Heal. When Sin pulls you in close enough for physical attacks, then you can now summon your Aeons and do their overdrives. It's great to have Anima in this fight because he is the most powerful Aeon in the game and his Oblivion overdrive can cause a minimum damage of 30,000 damage to Sin! Overdrives will save you.
ENTER SIN
Seymour Omnis (inside Sin) HP=80,000 AP=24,000 WEAK=varies Steal=Shining Gem, Supreme Gem: Well guess what folks. Seymour is back and this is finally the final battle with him. The wheels behind Seymour in the fight tell you his elemental properties. He is weak against the opposite element, which you can see by using scan, or by just looking at the wheels. For example, if all four wheels are pointing the color red at Seymour, he is weak against Fire, if the color yellow is pointing at him he is weak against Lightning spells. It's important to use Mental Break, Armor Break and Nul spells in this fight too. Occasionally, Seymour will attack the wheels behind him, changing his elemental property. At this point, bring in Kimahri and Auron to attack the wheels. You will need Wakka to hit the highest wheel. When four orbs of the same color are lined up around Seymour, summon or bring back Lulu for more Doublecasting. Keep in mind that Seymour will eventuall banish your Aeons like in the previous fights with him.
Jecht - Braska's Final Summon (Tower of the Dead) HP= 1st form= 60,000 2nd form= 120,000 AP=0 WEAK=none STEAL= Turbo Ether: This is the last REAL fight you will fight, because when you fight the last two battles after this you will have Auto-Life continuously cast so it's impossible to lose. This fight, however, requires strategy as you can die. The way that you do this really depends on the path you took on the sphere grid, so I can't really tell you how to do this. I can tell you not to attack the Yu Pagodas because you can never really kill them. Also save your Aeons overdrives for when Jecht transforms and uses his sword. it is also suggested that you summon the Three Magus Sisters and keep them around the whole fight, seeing as how they have a hard time dieing.
OMEGA RUINS OPTIONAL BOSSES (GOOD AP)
To get to the OPTIONAL Omega Ruins, use the airship coordinate: X-74, Y-36 to add Omega Ruins to your list of airship locations.
Ultima Weapon (Omega Ruins) HP=70,000 AP=40,000: Players who are not new to the Final Fantasy series wil know this guy well, and his counterpart, Omega, and they now that fighting Ultima Weapon is no easy task. He is a little easier then previous appearances, but he still has more strength than Jecht! Before you begin this tough battle, equip armor that protects against status effects like Confusion, Petrification, and Silence. Try to put Silence and Darkness on him to help out, and make sure you steal to get 10 Doorways to Tomorrow or if your lucky, 20. If you can spare 1,400,000 gil, bribe Ultima to get 99 Pendulums. If you can manage to put him on Silence and Darkness, this is not a very difficult fight. Make sure you rotate all of your characters into the battle to receive 40,000 AP!
OMEGA WEAPON HP=99,999 AP=50,000: Everybody who has played Final Fantasy games in the past will almost certainly remember this tough beast. Omega was the most powerful enemy in Final Fantasy 8, but don't worry he's not this time. He is EXTREMELY strong this time nonetheless. Omega is basically immune to every status effect, and he halves elemental damage in half. So why don't you take some time to strengthen your characters with spells like Shell, Haste and Focus and other useful abilities to help against his mostly magic arsenal. Make sure you steal from him..30 Gambler's Spirits, and make sure you use Kimahri's Lancet on Omega to learn Nova, the most powerful of Kimahri's Overdrives. If your characters don't have over 9,000 HP, you are in big trouble if Omega uses Ultima or Nova because these attacks can do that much damage. But don't worry my character's HP did not exceed 6,000 HP, plus Omega rarely uses these, but that does not mean that you should not be careful. To make this fight easier, I suggest have every single Aeon on Overdrive and use them. And it's a good idea to use Anima's Oblivion. That can cause around 35,000 points of damage to Omega!!:) If you don't have Anima, you might not be able to win, unless your lucky. I couldn't beat this guy until I got Anima (for one thing he used Nova and Ultima both times I fought him before I got Anima). It took me 3 times to fight him to actually win, and the 3rd time i got lucky and Omega missed one of his attacks that would've killed Anima, and I got one more Oblivion in:). When you fight Omega beware!! He is VERY tough, but don't let this fact scare you. If you win this tough fight you will receive a massive 50,000 AP and my characters grew several levels! GOOD LUCK!
